Constitution Test for Middle School
In January 2017, ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education https://www.isbe.net/Documents/Guidance_Doc_Mandate.pdf) mandated that students between 7th-12th grade must pass a Constitution Test in the state of Illinois before they graduate from high school. It is no longer mandated that it must be done in middle school. Since Dunlap High School has a Civics class and completes the Constitution Test at that time, there is no official Constitution Test given to new 8th graders moving into the district. In 7th grade, students complete a test which includes the Revolutionary War Era and Constitution Era. The following information is what I gave new 8th grade students in the past to help study for the Constitution Test. I am keeping the information here for anyone that wants to review Constitution information. Again, Dunlap School District does not give an official Constitution Test in middle school. It is only mandated once between 7th and 12th grades.
